T.D. 4 may stay as a weak system and move more westward

T.D. 4 is having some issues tonight. If tropical depression 4 stays a depression or weak
tropical storm. Expect a westward shift on the forecast track in the next 48 hours increasing the
threat to the Leeward Islands and Puerto Rico by Thursday. The problem is the fast motion to
the WNW.......INFACT......The depression looks to be moving more westward during the last 6
hours. It will be interesting if the depression can hold together. If t.d. 4 takes a more southern
rought. It may enter the Caribbean Sea south of the large upper level low north of the greater
antilies and surrive the forecasted shear.....again thats if it surrvives. I think t.d. 4 will surrvive but
move more westward than north due to the strong low level flow by high pressure to the north
stearing a weaker tropical cyclone towards the Caribbean islands. |
