Aurora Map For Tuesday Night

I don't think a solar ejection aurora will do much to change our weather or seed a tropical storm....

But I have to admit, I will probably unplug my computer from the wall while at work tomorrow and Wednesday. It only takes a second to plug it back in if nothing happens.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but the shape and direction of these ejections may be as significant as the magnitude of the initial flare (only a C3 magnitude, not that big...).

The way this recent shock wave traveled over the face of the Sun does seem unusual, but it may only be the first time we have noticed this sort of detail from a solar ejection.
