well listen

20 years ago it drove me crazy... spinning waves that looked like cat 1 storms but no no no upgrade

now we have anything spinning even briefly named

so maybe its a thing for us old school types who remember the various directors at the nhc and the various ways of upgrading  (boat reports, recon, sat imagery, dvorak, quikscat, no quickscat, etc

i hear u tho

but still they put so much into the number of storms now vs before
you rarely heard talk of it 20 years ago
