| I remember watching Charley through our family room windows, neighbor's trees and roof flying by...and my husband, watching a battery run TV in the "safe room" calling out "The Turner Center just collapsed". I can only imagine the terror you faced, knuckle. I am so grateful to our emergency personnel who got you folks safely across the street to the high school. I had directed a student to the Turner Center just as the storm hit...her grandfather refused to take her there. Good thing, as it turns out. For years, she teasingly accused me of trying to kill her. (Funny child, lol.) |
