Getting a little more convection firing up at 26N 84W.
Cell topping out at 55K; looking tower-ish.
This is the time of day for convection to have its best opportunity to develop.
200mb vorticity has moved pretty far away now; TUTT looks like its at about 28N 90W.
Poleward UL winds still going the wrong way for an outflow channel.
Equatorward - a different story; actually looks good.
That anticyclone that was over KY / TN yesterday looks like it is trying to make its way down to the coast.
Its a tropical system.
Got a very broad, high-altitude warm-core ramping up to 1C.
Could get a little better in about 24 hrs.
That SE CONUS anti-cyclone is the thing to watch.
If I was on the coast, I won't let my guard down yet; got 32C water there.
