The depression is extremely elongated due to a combination of an ULL and easterly shear on the backside. Convection is lacking near the center and this id due to cyclonic cold core system embedded within the system. The cylone looks more like an extra topical system then tropical as most of the convection around the periphery.
As for the circulation, its very large with the main center further NW of the previous adv. However, another center is evident on visible across the NE GOM.
