from NASA'a chat: "GRIP is collaborating with PREDICT and may have some common storm targets. PREDICT is studying genesis in the Atlantic Ocean all the way to the East Atlantic, and genesis is also one of the major objectives of GRIP as well."
I've spent hours looking over the links on their sites, they are all awesome - a few I get lost in: http://grip.jpl.nasa.gov/grip/index.jsp , http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/tropic2/predict/predict.php# and http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/tropic2/predict/predict.php# I don't recall any projects in the past where data was made so available to the average person - I love this ! Today PREDICT had this to say about former TD 5:
