Thanks for your note, aqua.  Agree your colleague might've checked the beach hotels -- I can't believe they wouldn't have honored gov't rates right now, when they're all hurting for business.  Yes, they and the beaches have been very empty, and it's so sad, and a waste.

Thanks for letting others know you couldn't find any oil on our  beautiful beaches.  ;-)  We need that word to get out big time!  It's unbelievable that some of the media are STILL showing shots of oiled birds and beaches.  Grrr!!!

Glad you got to PegLeg Pete's -- good choice, one of our very favorite spots, although hubby and I, like many locals, try to avoid it in season (even this year) because it's so popular and we don't like long waits.  I'm allergic to oysters, their signature thing, but adore their grilled jumbo Gulf shrimp.  (Sorry, guess this isn't very weather-related.  ;-) )

By all means, if you think of it, let me know next time you're going to be in the area.
