I mentioned in an earlier thread ("yellow blob in Gulf") that we'd been having calm, clear seas up here on the North Central Gulf Coast.  Well, I just got back from the beach and, while the Gulf is still beautifully clear (gorgeous, in fact), and there's hardly a cloud in the sky, there must be something brewing to our south because the surf has started to pick up. Not huge, but swells and  breakers nonetheless (enough to bring out the boys with their boards), whereas Monday and Tuesday we had virtually nothing but ripples -- I called it Lake Mexico.

Yep, something's stirring, I do believe.   Am not a weather expert  but can offer first hand observations once in a while, so there ya go.
