Here on Cape Cod...

People are seemingly 50/50 on the effects of this storm...most appear to be waiting for the last minute...but NATURE appears to be much more in tune with what is going on...have had incredibly hot, humid weather here all summer, which is unusual here.  Last 3 days have been no wind, very hot and humid - and the animals have been really quiet last 2 days.  There are osprey in a tower next to where I live, and they have been gone most of the day (stocking up?).

We are closing camp sites and boats are being hauled in, at least.  I have a pix somewhere of the '38 hurricane, and boats were thrown up just about a mile inland...but they did not have the technology that we have!!!

There have been a couple of small breezes from the NW last couple of hours, but then nothing.  I have lived through 8 hurricanes on the Cape - born right between Edna and Hazel, but first memory of one is Donna in '60 - the window broke and blew in glass all over my bed.

Have been lurking here but don't feel equipped educationally to post much - appreciate you all and KNEW I was missing someone, but didn't realize it was Tim_NC until it was posted...

sorry so wordy here
