Gaston should be a depression soon.......

Satellite pictures this afternoon continues to show tropical disturbance Gaston tring to become a tropical cyclone once again. Thunderstorms continue to increase near the center and if this trend continues. I expect Gaston to regain drpression status by 11:00 pm tonight or sooner. Due to Gaston's small size......many computer models don't show much development. Remember small tropical cyclones can sometimes suprise us on how quickly thay develop. To be on the safe side, I think the NHC should upgrade Gaston soon or send out a hurricane hunter this evening to check its strength......I am not a forecaster but Gaston has looked like a tropical depression during the last two days. |
