CMC shows the vorticity jumping NW to run over Cuba and dissipate.
GFS shows a weak vorticity as it moves west without a warm-core spinup.
I ran HYSPILIT GFS trajectory forecast for south and west of the LLC --> no ascent.
I dunno, that wind shift on the buoy is compelling.
