The thing about Newfoundland is that its mostly solid rock - what little soil there is, is ussually sitting on top rock. Some areas got almost 2 inches of rain from a trough the day before, and Igor is #3 for the wettest cyclone in Canada's history. Also, the capital St. Johns had a wind gust of 137km/h, and another place further north had a wind gust of 172 km/h. No words of damages yet, but I wouldnt be surprised if this eclipsed Juan.
