Hum.....doesn't that happen sometimes if the storm is a slow mover over either a rain saturated area or a swampy area? It seems like there was a scenario like that for one storm when it went across southern Florida several years ago. That one either strengthened a little bit...or at least did not degrade over land.
Either way, with the newer ensemble tracks this am, that does not bode well for the Gulf, does it?
