Tomas Dying out well south of Puerto Rico

Between 1 am and 2 am Tomas has been ripped apart, first tilted then the lower level center raced out ahead while the convection was being blown off to the east .....My impression of Tomas is that it is just barely a tropical storm and perhaps only a tropical depression now at 3am EST. In fact i now do NOT think this system will ever be able to get better organized as it would take a lot of dynamics to bring this low level swirl back to life.....My impression is that the NHC will be downgrading this to a TD by 5am or 11am or perhapse just a tropical disturbance. I think unless there is a major change I do believe Tomas will be gone tomorrow!!! and that of course is great news for HATI.....P.N. |
