That is actually a pet theory of mine.
It seems to me there is a correlation to very sharp solar x-ray bursts and earthquakes.
However, there can be a lag anywhere from a few days to a few months.
My thinking is the x-rays generate ionization in the upper atmosphere.
The sharp spike creates an impulse in ions which in turn cause an impulse change in the earth's magnetic field.
Because of the earth's nickel core, there results a small torque impulse on the earth's rotation.
Becausee of all the complicated magnetic-field and rotional-velocity interaction, the vector cross-product math can become very complicated.
However, I can conceptualize this happening.
In fact, the same physics is behind the HAARP BS that is floating around which is rumored to set off quakes.
