Frozen South: Could be days before thaw comes

The south got nailed hard with snow sleet and freezing rain. We had 8 inches of snow here in south east TN. With the hills here and that amount of snow it will be most of the week before we are back to normal. The whole south is basically shut down for the week because of below normal temps. The low temps will not allow the snow to melt and it refreezes fast. With the storm moving into the northeast the east will be closed down for the week. There will be a back lash in everything from goods being delivered to travel ect. This weather is getting very bizarre as we here in TN have had more snow this year than Watertown NY. |
