Okay let's go with this scenario or equation
Back in the late 1980s, probably the summer of 1989 the Government came out with a report on the Worst Natural Disaster of Our Times and the need to be aware of it. That was said to be the flooding of New Orleans after a direct hit by a Major Hurricane. The front page of the paper in Gulfport Miss put it up as a lead story. Nola had articles on it.... the wording was very clear, not maybe but one day New Orleans would flood and there would be a crazy loss of life and people needed to be aware.
When the New Madrid Fault came alive back in the late 1800s there was little evidence that the area was in the center of a seismic region, it had been quiet.
Nola, however, is always threatened and we all know of it's history and what would happen IF it flooded.
CNN and FOX covered the stories for days, turning a natural event into a social commentary on our times and trying to point blame on everything from the Mayor to the Governor and the cheerleaders at the Superdome.
Yet, we knew it was going to happen and everyone knew it would happen and nothing was done to stop it or to deal with it's aftermath until it was too late.
So, keeping that in mind.... we should pay attention to the New Madrid Fault Zone because the population is more dense and it can and will affect the fate financially of several states as it is on the border of at least five states...
As much as it sounds like doom and gloom, those people in the movie Condominium knew that building was going to come down... and people laughed it off.
And, all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put dumpty together again...
