I think it might be an oak tree. I went around my neighborhood and a nearby park getting pictures through various trees. Based on the order of pictures, I think that one was near the top of an oak tree. The oak tree I believe it is appears on the Quicktime panorama embedded on the following page on my association's website. (The tree that first appears just to the left when the panorama loads that is behind the street sign)
The moon still looks bright tonight. It looked really bright this morning when I took this picture before sunrise:

Unfortunately it's hard to capture how bright it actually looks outside. When my camera is zoomed out it just can't pick up the moon except as a blur. All these moon pictures I took are usually at 56x zoom, the max for my digital camera using optical (14x) and then digital zoom to get to 56x. |
