Shear is a change in wind speed and direction with height. Stating shear relate to high winds in the upper atmosphere is just not accurate is what I'm saying. I understand the context in which their using it, but as a weather forecasting company (especially when they forecast severe weather) should at least be scientifically correct with their definitions. |
