This could be a doozy.
A large cutoff low spinning up over the PAC NW.
Will come off the Rockies and could go negative tilt as it moves thru the midwest and into the NE.
GOM could be open and ready for business on this one.
I am putting money on the ionosphere being warmed up and good to go.
Stay tuned, this could be a bad weekend.
PRELIMINARY EXTENDED FORECAST DISCUSSION NWS HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL PREDICTION CENTER CAMP SPRINGS MD 835 AM EDT TUE APR 05 2011 VALID 12Z SAT APR 09 2011 - 12Z TUE APR 12 2011
...MAIN CYCLONE MOVING THROUGH THE PLAINS/MIDWEST/SOUTHEAST CANADA THIS WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK...
SLOWING TRENDS SEEN IN THE GFS/ECMWF ALONG WITH GLOBAL ENSEMBLE CLUSTERING FAVORED IDEAS FROM THE 00Z ECMWF/00Z UKMET/TO SOME DEGREE THE 00Z CANADIAN WITH THIS SYSTEM. HOWEVER...THE CANADIAN EVENTUALLY BECOMES A SLOW/SOUTHERLY OUTLIER WITH THIS SYSTEM DUE TO ITS LOW OUTLIER SOLUTION WITH THE SYSTEM UPSTREAM...SO IT COULD NOT BE USED. DUE TO THE TRENDS WITH THIS SYSTEM OF BECOMING SLOWER/DEEPER/MORE WESTWARD...THE FRONT ACROSS THE EAST HAS BEEN ADJUSTED SOUTHWARD FROM CONTINUITY FOR A SECOND DAY.
