TEC Radar return anomoly on Jacksonville NWS Radar

Localized high electron concentrations in the ionosphere precipitate into the upper troposphere as a charged plasma.
Microwaves from radars bounce off of this and an anomolous signature is seen.
This is a good indication of abnormally high TEC over a given location.
Notice the spoke pattern off the Jacksonville radar.
