Checking in!  Freesong here!

I drove past the area where the tornado hit-- minutes before.  Was coming from Charleston with a friend.  Taking her to RDU airport.  Saw a suspicious cloud and kept going to get past the area where it was headed.

We had white out rain, small hail, tremendous wind.  Then just a few miles away-- sun came out, blue skies, like nothing had happened.

We had power out at home--which was about 5 miles from some of the damage.

All this in a Miata convertible!  would have been happier in the SUV at that point--or not in the area AT ALL!   -----but all is well that ends well.  Don't think I am cut out to be a chaser tho-- LOL
