I am working a theory that it may correlate with Outgoing Longwave Radiation (OLR), which has an effect on the ionosphere.
OLR is dramatically disrupted from large areas of convection.
Have seen quakes occur under TCs before; which the OLR thing could be the link.
So, bottom line, watch the Carib.
