Quick glance shows a lot better 850 and 700mb vorticity than this morning probably due to the heavy convection that fired from the islands in the afternoon.

It is south of PR, over open water.

UL has improved dramatically but still no anti-cyclone.

LL winds still show a wave but stronger than 24 hrs ago.

It does now have a warm core.

So, all in all, a bit better than yesterday, but still a ways to go to a TD.

Need to see if the convection washes out again tonight or if the diurnal max at dawn flares it up.
