I agree that since the historic seasons of 2004 and 2005, shear and ULLs do seem to have been unusually abundant. Someone can correct me if I am wrong about this, but if it's true that shear/ULLs have in fact been more rampant in the past five seasons, I'd love to learn more about what climatological factors may be contributing to that.

Despite the shear/ULLs, though, most seasons from 2006 onward have turned out to be rather active.
