A brief update on the status of the database work:
1) A revision of HURDAT will be available later this week that incorporates
several miscellaneous changes, primarily between 1851 and 1930.
2) Progress is being made on the 1931 to 1935 hurricane seasons. Official
revisions to these should be made available within the next few months.
3) The reanalyses for the years 1936 to 1943 are being written and will be
submitted to the Best Track Change Committee for consideration during
the next several months.
4) The hurricane seasons of 1944-1953 have already been submitted to
the committee (primarily the results of Andrew's Master's Thesis), though
these will be considered sequentially (that is, after the 1931-1943 revisions
are addressed).
