Storms that form that far east generally get themselves out of the easterly flow of the ITCZ and get influenced by the westerlies, pulling them WNW, to NW and off to the N.

I think there was mention a couple of years ago that only 5 storms that had formed that far out had ever made any kind of landfall, since records began.
