NO EYE NO TRACK! I am certain that the models are, like the Congressional Budget Office, simply doing GIGO...Garbage In, Garbage Out. They are fighting the jet stream (trough / ridge) predictions with COC fixes from hunters.

Every model I have ever trusted was based on a firm fix and substantial COC. Give me an EYE and I'll start planning my response on models. Irene has a COC visible on Puerto Rico radar, but it has never been obvious on a day time sat shot.

If a Tuesday or early Wednesday sat shot shows a tight COC when she gets past Hispaniola then I'll start betting on the westerly model runs like the UKMET. I just do not see the trough shoving Irene as WEST as the latest model runs do if she gets her sea legs.

Bottom line. If you're in Fl, GA, SC, you may get lucky but playing that hand is like discarding 4 cards in straight poker hoping to pair up your ace! Not smart.
