Found this article from last year when earl was in our cone (long way off). The main points I took from it were how the storm surge would be the main concern and that it would be so much worse at high tide.

Gianmarc did you mention Norcross saying Irene was gonna roll up at high tide? Plus with the inundated soil everywhere in the area, I know rivers down the jersey shore that flooded just last week.
