NORFOLK -- Crews rescued two people from a sailboat in distress off Ocean View.
Two people and a cat were aboard the 30-foot sailboat about 150 yards off the beach at 9th View and West Ocean View.
With winds and conditions deteriorating, Norfolk Fire and rescue, the U.S. Coast Guard and Marine Towing were working quickly to get the people off the sailboat.
Witnesses on the beach say one of the boaters had 2 anchors in the water and was running the engine trying to keep the boat steady.
Think it was their home. |
