Google plus is a pretty neat social network.

I believe I should have 136 invites remaining from that link, if you'd like to join.  I think it might require a gmail account, but I'm not totally positive.

there is a pretty cool feature called hangouts which enable chatting between 10 people.  I think there is another chat which could be larger without audio-video, but I'm not positive about that.
