Wow, that was quite a ride. The tail end on Irene was wicked....it took out everyone who still had power with. A few minutes. we were watching transformers light up the sky like Xmas lights. the damage is not near as bad here as Isabel when we got the rt front quadrant. Trees down...mostly big limbs etc..trash all over and lots of debris from bad flooding. some damage to structures here and there but not bad.
we are on generator for the frigs and freezer. 950,000 from se VA still out of power.
Off to make bacon and eggs for my hard working family. did find an open Hardeesabout 8mi away but the line was down the street!
Bummed because I cannot get the live tv from Jim on my iPad.
Any ideas?
