Way, way 2 early 2 tell. Aug / Sept storms can fish as easily as they can go into the GOM or up the East Coast. There is a school of thought that a storm will follow in the wake of a previous one. I do not subscribe to that thinking however.
The upside of Aug / Sept systems is that the earth is tilting back a bit as we head into fall and winter. This means that deep troughs of high pressure can step into the path of an inbound system and turn it out to sea.
Timing is everything. Don't turn your back on the tropics until you're finished Christmas shopping...LOL |
