I spoke to my friend yesterday this is the information she gave me. "The people are just happy to be alive, they have started up clean up by themselves. The American churches are and have been the biggest help for Cat Island. Their government is doing nothing;(something about their electric co is doing a little bit). The PGA is helping they gave out generators (I think other things as well, sorry bad phone connection)."

"Houses: 200 gone, dead: none". Her husband was able to get a flight to Cat Island last Wednesday "The house did what it was suppose to, it with stood winds of 130 for 10 hr (sorry I forget what she said the wind gusts were)." Another words it is intact (built withstand a cat 5, she did not think it would still be there, "because it is on the bad side of the storm") yes there were some damages I did not get details. I don't know if he got pictures, the rest of the island in sad shape.
