While I admire him coming out admitting global warming he stubbornly reverts back to fantasy cycles that dont exist. I have done the math every which way and still come up with more named storms today than ever before in the atlantic, even adding a few per year in the past which may have been missed. The other things he seemed to downplay IMO is sea level rise & temp rises in relation to strength & destruction. I think even a 1 inch rise in sea level is huge as we are seeing with nearly every hurricane that hits with water piling up in places hit before with much worse consequences. Wilma is a prime example of Global warming with the lowest atlantic pressure record and probably winds. I think we need to be very concerned & once majors start hitting US land again the damage will be unimaginable. I do agree with the potential for increasing wind shear preventing some storms from forming but under favorable conditions look out and for more then the couple of miles per hour he was talking about.
