Thanks Jim. Plenty of time left for us. We are planning on attending Palm Sunday Mass at St. Mary's so we will make sure to check out the Grotto.
Yes we will be taking the turnpike in. Knowing that we are at nearly 20 years I wasn't expecting to see much evidence of Andrew, but good to have an idea of where the damage was. I show my son the areas damaged by the May 31, 1985 tornadoes in Ohio when we are back there, so this gives us a reference point for Andrew damage. I was working a job in Panama City that week so my son will get to hear my stories of trying to track Andrew in the Gulf with my little weather radio and how loud the surf came up while I was sleeping Monday night. The company I worked for owned Cutler Ridge Mall and I remember just looking at some of the damage pictures from the mall. |
