There is a large ball of convection near Central America, where the original energy for Beryl came from.  This has been steady for a few days now.  Also, there is a tropical wave with a fair amount of energy entering the Islands.  My question would be whether either of these present a viable area for formation into a trop. system within the next couple of days.

Also, do the current climate patterns over the Atlantic and North America more closely resemble early August than they do late May?  It appears that way, but I would like other input.
