.DISCUSSION... UPPER LEVEL RIDGING IS STILL EXPECTED TO BUILD ACROSS THE CENTRAL STATES OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. SOUTHEAST TEXAS CAN EXPECT STEADILY WARMING TEMPERATURES...WITH INLAND HIGHS EVENTUALLY REACHING THE UPPER 90S TO LOWER 100S. CURRENTLY EXPECTING HEAT INDEX VALUES TO PEAK UNDER 108 DEGREES...BUT THIS WILL HAVE TO BE WATCHED CLOSELY AS HIGHER THAN FORECASTED VALUES COULD GET US CLOSE TO HEAT ADVISORY NUMBERS.
MODELS CONTINUE TO CARRY DIFFERENT SOLUTIONS REGARDING THE SLOWLY ORGANIZING GULF OF MEXICO TROPICAL SYSTEM. OUR PREVIOUS DISCUSSION STATED THAT UNTIL TROPICAL CYCLONE DEVELOPMENT OCCURS...IT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO FORECAST THE EVOLUTION ON THIS SYSTEM. THIS STILL HOLDS TRUE EARLY THIS MORNING. THE STRENGTH AND POSITIONING OF BOTH OUR AREA`S UPPER LEVEL RIDGE AND THE EASTERN STATE`S TROF WILL LIKELY HELP TO DETERMINE THE PATH AND TIMING OF THIS SYSTEM. IT DOES APPEAR THAT WE WILL BE DEALING WITH THIS SYSTEM POSSIBLY INTO THE END OF NEXT WEEK AND EVEN INTO NEXT WEEKEND. 42
