The NHC's site will not update until the advisory is put out. They need some time. The NHC is probably having a lot of fun at the moment trying to determine where to say it is going. If only recon showed it even a little less organized, they could have bought themselves some more time for the models to pick a solution.
The information CX and I posted comes from the NHC's ATCF (Automated Tropical Cyclone Forecasting) system. About the system: http://www.nrlmry.navy.mil/atcf_web/
That is used by sites like this: http://tropic.ssec.wisc.edu/ http://www.nrlmry.navy.mil/TC.html http://www.hurricanecity.com/models/data.cgi?basin=al&year=2012&storm=04
Although CIMSS currently dropped the storm during the update and NRL goes with both 96L and Debby. After several years I have finally figured out how to properly handle, most of the time, the process of when a storm is upgraded from an invest. |
