YouTube videos can be embedded here at CaneTalk. For security I have to code what is specifically allowed to be posted, so YouTube and Ustream are the only ones I have coded so far.
As for getting the video off your camera, that is too camera specific. Basically I just plug my camera in to my computer via a USB port and then navigate to the folder the video is in. Then I copy the videos to my computer. I usually just use something simple to edit the video, like Windows Live Movie Maker. Or if you do not need to edit the video or merge various clips and want to upload the whole file, that makes things a lot easier.
YouTube has some uploading help
here. But, basically, you just drag the video file onto this page:
http://www.youtube.com/my_videos_uploadThen you get to enter various details while it is uploading. Once it is done uploading visit the video page. Under the video you will see a "Share" button. If you want to simply link to the video, you can copy the link in the text field. Or, if you want to embed the video here at CaneTalk so someone can watch it right in the message, click ""Embed". In the text area that appears select the text by clicking anywhere on it. Then right click and select "Copy". Then you come back to the message box here at CaneTalk and right click and select "Paste". Then you can preview your message to make sure it embedded properly. Basically the code looks like this when you paste it into the message box:
