getting close to 8" of rain in last 2 days, per closest county gauge http://www.harriscountyfws.org/GageDetail/Index/1175?R=1&Span=7  

cypress creek has risen 10' in the last couple days - it has just dumped on nw harris county

better than the drought of last year !
