aside from a really great link that went further west, showed similar (not SAL) qualities in the air towards the Pacific....
everything is connected
no storms over Africa (check WV for the link) makes for poor Cape Verde Waves
not a lot moving West towards Africa from the Indian Ocean neither...
note the eastern edge of the area of red on this map way north of PR...
heavy duty colored sunsets last night in Raleigh (we rarely ever get color... rarely ever get a real sunset) and out by the beach colors were different....
believe it's the northwest edge of the dust that is very high up in the atmosphere that is near the Bahamas... it's unusually west... strong high... i spoke to a weather person up here about it, said it was possible but would probably not be noticeable ... but it was last night..
not a big cloud, minute break aways...
