System is nicely stacked surface to 500mb. Its a large cyclonic gyre under a somewhat favorable upper air environment. As is normally the case, large waves take time to gather and this is especially the case, as little convection is associated near the broad low. However, as it moves further west increasing SST's will allow for a more positive convective environment.
Conclusion: Current hindering factors are low SST's and Saharan Air Layer. However, these negative environmental factors will improve further west. Like this to gradually develop.... |
