good to see you both posting - long time, no see !
While I appreciate your confidence, I'm not a "guru", I'm an unemployed banker (by choice, at the moment) who happens to be a weather nerd & have a bit of computer saavy & too much time to spend on the pc nowadays
I would tell everyone to visit their local NWS website, pay attn to NHC forecasts & if they're forecast to take an indirect or direct hit, pay close attn to your city, county & state emergency officials, in addition. Never get emergency/life & death decision info from a message board on the internet.
All NCEP organizations http://www.ncep.noaa.gov/about/ (has links to all divisions) coordinate their forecasts & to be truthful, I'm not sure exactly what link has the absolute most current fronts graphics
"The National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP), an arm of the NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS), is comprised of nine distinct Centers, and the Office of the Director, which provide a wide variety of national and international weather guidance products to National Weather Service field offices, government agencies, emergency managers, private sector meteorologists, and meteorological organizations and societies throughout the world. NCEP is a critical national resource in national and global weather prediction. NCEP is the starting point for nearly all weather forecasts in the United States."
Jim's site & updates are totally awesome, as are Chris' imo...
side note - many satellite loopshave "fronts" options above them now http://www.ospo.noaa.gov/Products/imagery/index.html |
