It's very confusing. They are talking about breaching the back levee between Braithwaite & White Ditch to let the water out back into the Gulf and also talking about the west bank being threatened on the other side of the river. Now I can't figure out which now they are talking about breaching, or both. Whatever they are talking about will be breached tomorrow by the Army Corps of Engineers.
But I don't see how breaching the back levee would help the other side of the river relieve pressure, so if they are not breaching the Mississippi side of the Braithwaite & White Ditch now, they might have to in the future to relieve pressure. Just can't figure out if that decision was made now. |
