TWC just reported "Lousiana officials say Plaquemine Parish levee will be breached to relieve pressure".
I'm listening to WWLTV coverage on HC now to see if they say anything about it. They were worried about the west bank, so it appears they may have to cut a hole on the east bank, already flooded, to try and relieve some pressure.
President of Parish saying people on roofs waiting to be saved. Very sad.

I rode out the storm in Biloxi, MS about 100 yds from the water. This is the first time I have ever been this close during the entire event. I am amazed at how rough the Gulf still is and how long this has lasted. It has been like standing next to a jet engine for 36 hours. It was awesome experience.
