An impressive 9.54" of rain has been recorded at Virginia Beach, Va., since Sunday. Norfolk has received 5.92" of rain. In southwest Virginia it's not rain, but snow, that this superstorm is leaving in its wake. Reports of 4-5" of snow are coming in from Tazewell and Clintwood.

Aqua, I hope you are doing ok and have power.

An all-time record low pressure was recorded in Philadelphia on Tuesday.  "Philadelphia's air pressure dropped to 28.35" (959.9 millibars), which beats the old record of 28.43" (962.8 millibar) set during the March 13, 1993 super-storm," reports weather.com meteorologist Nick Wiltgen.

Webster Springs, W.V. has recorded 17" of snow and the white stuff is still coming. It's possible West Virginia's mountains could get between 2-3' from this storm.

The city of Milford has received 9.55" of rainfall since Sunday. Indian River Acres has received 9.49" of rainfall. Tens of thousands are without power.

Monday night, all-time record tide levels were set at The Battery in Lower Manhattan, breaking a record from 1821, as well as Sandy Hook, N.J., shattering the previous record from the Dec. 1992 Nor'easter and Hurricane Donna in 1960.

Here in the Mid state of SC are seeing the very outter rain bands of Sandy bringing to us light showers from time to time and it's overcast.

On our local news cast last night, showed shots of people surfing on Lake Michigan....how unreal is that...never have I seen people go surfing on Lake michigan.
