"Are we seeing a change with Mother Nature and Global Warming.  Will it become more common for these highs to build so far North and force these storms inland in the future?"

Interesting for some reason I've had the feeling it will not be necessarily be an increase in major hurricanes as some have suggested but there will be more "Sandy" type of storms.
