Tallahassee weather forecasters had this to say about it... http://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&issuedby=TAE&product=AFD&format=CI&version=1&glossary=1
AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TALLAHASSEE FL 1011 AM EDT Tue Jun 4 2013
"NHC shows this broad area of weak low pressure as having a 30% chance of developing into a tropical storm in the next 48 hours. Models are showing the low could go as far west as Destin and as far east as Cedar Key, so there`s still disagreement as to the timing and tracking of this air mass. The consensus of the global models however is that the low will be closer to the Cross City area by Thursday night. The Thursday-Friday time range will be when we`d really see heavier rainfall if the low follows that timing/track. As the low tries to pull moisture from its surrounding environment however, Wednesday may see rain that is forced by more than just sea breeze. PoPs Wednesday afternoon ~60% for much of the area, increasing to to 60-70% Thursday." |
